Cultivate Community Through YAGI

Sponsor a Community Learning Bed

Annual Campaign Goal: $8,000

Imagine a neighborhood where gardens are more than places to grow food.

Imagine gardens becoming outdoor classrooms where children, families, volunteers, and neighbors come together to learn, cultivate, and care for the communities they call home.

This is the vision of the Yoga Arts Garden Initiative (YAGI).

Created by Senses Yoga School, YAGI is a community-based educational program that blends ecological stewardship, wellness, and leadership development through hands-on learning in public green spaces. Rather than simply growing food, we cultivate relationships—with one another, with the land, and with the neighborhoods we serve.

Our 2026 pilot season focuses on establishing five Community Learning Beds, each serving as an outdoor classroom where participants learn sustainable gardening practices, environmental stewardship, teamwork, and mindful connection with nature.

Every Community Learning Bed remains open for shared learning and community harvest. No one owns a bed. Instead, each bed is sponsored by individuals, schools, businesses, or community organizations that believe everyone should have access to fresh food, environmental education, and welcoming public spaces.

Your sponsorship helps provide:

• Construction and improvement of Community Learning Beds

• Soil delivery, compost, and seasonal growing materials

• Shared garden tools and equipment

• Seeds, herbs, vegetables, and pollinator-friendly plants

• Four weeks of introductory YAGI educational programming for each sponsored bed

• Volunteer coordination and stewardship leadership

• Community workshops and seasonal learning experiences

• Free community harvest opportunities throughout the growing season

Together, these sponsored beds become living classrooms where people of all ages can discover how gardens strengthen both personal well-being and neighborhood resilience.

Sponsor a Community Learning Bed

Whether you sponsor one bed, support seasonal programming, or make a general contribution, your investment helps ensure that YAGI remains a place where education, stewardship, and community flourish together.

Your generosity is helping build more than a garden.

You are helping cultivate healthier neighborhoods, stronger relationships, environmental responsibility, and lifelong learning—one Community Learning Bed at a time.

Thank you for believing in this vision and helping us grow a more connected Milwaukee.

With gratitude,

Senses Yoga School
