Update on Fundrive, October 8:

If we can use up the rest of the $3K match we have going now by Friday night, we will unlock another $1,300 from Concept 2 and Steve Pappas' car donation to the fundrive. Let's go folks!

Thanks to our fundrive matchers East Hill Tree Farm, Homeshare Vermont, Juana's Garden, Alera Group, Onion River Campground, Rocket Leathercraft, Washington Electric Coop, and the CVCR Board and major donors.

###

To be clear, the fall fundrive is all about funding the local programming you love, so that it isn't interrupted by this move. We will be raising funds separately for the move.

We set some big goals this time around and we're inviting our thousands of new listeners over the last few years to make this the drive you become a supporting listener. It feels great and looks great on your resume. 😆

💵 To Make a Gift 💵

Give securely online via credit card, venmo, paypal or other digital wallet options. Please note, it helps us if you can cover our credit card processing fees and "skip the tip" for GiveButter (we don't get that!).

Or pledge a check online, then made it out to "CVCR" and send to WGDR, 123 Pitkin Rd. Plainfield, VT 05667.

Once our programmers see your gift, we'll thank you live on the air.

🐮🔔 Our Cowbell Goals 🐮🔔

10 new sustainers
100 streamer donors
100 new donors --> Did you know, less than 2% of listeners actually give to the station?! We've grown listenership from 13K to over 45K under community ownership. Make this the fundrive you start giving with.
50 donors who haven't given in recent years
300 donors total (we're going for a record!)
$25K raised by October 11

🏆 Donor Prizes & Perks 🏆

Donors of $53 or more get a limited edition sticker for 2026 and a printed copy of our latest schedule!
New sustainers of at least $10 or more (or $120 a year), get a CVCR travel mug, the sticker, and the schedule. That's less than a Netflix subscription!
Donors of $250 or more, the sticker, the schedule, and get to pick anything they want from our swag store (there are new designs and swag this year).
Donors of $50, $100, or $150 during the Curse of the Golden Turnip show get a limited edition Curse of the Golden Turnip print on a tank top, tshirt, or sweatshirt.

All donors, no matter the amount, who give by Sunday, October 11 will be entered to win prizes donated by Vermont businesses and organizations. These include tickets to shows like:

A show at the Flynn - John Scofield on 11/18
A show at Higher Ground - Allison Russell on 10/27 or Fruit Bats on 11/6
A Bread & Puppet Banner
A show at the Highland Center for the Arts - Myra Flynn on 10/24
A show at the Barre Opera House - TBD!

⭐⭐⭐ Give To Your Favorite Show on Their Fundrive Show Page ⭐⭐⭐

This fundrive, all our local shows will have their own show pages, with a goal to raise $91. If you love a certain show, let that programmer know it by donating to their page. You can also give to the station in general. Thank you!

‼️Fundrive Match Days & Shows ‼️

Double your impact by giving to the station when a match is running. Matches are larger gifts from friends of the stations, sponsors, or underwriters to help motivate donors to give on a certain day (kick us off or help us reach the final goal) or who are new to the station.

This spring, we have $8K in matches spread out across the fundrive.

Kick Off Weekend Match from Major Donors, Underwriters & Sponsors - $2,000
Newbie Match: Any new donor or new sustainer gift will be matched: Up to $4,650 from our generous CVCR Board. (This is active all drive long, until we run out!)
The Last Weekend Match from Major Donors, Underwriters & Sponsors - $2,300

*Thanks to the matching CVCR board, major donors, underwriters and sponsors including East Hill Tree Farm, Homeshare Vermont, Juana's Garden, Onion River Campground, Alera Group, Rocket Leathercraft, and Washington Electric Coop.

📻 Even More Local Programming 📻

If you've ever heard our fundrives, you know you are about to get even more of our fantastic local programming. Tune in for special guests, live music, and more. It is how we put the FUN in fundrive. Special schedule line up is at WGDR.org.

Did you know, less than 2% of listeners actually give to the station?! We've grown listenership from 13K to over 45K under community ownership. Make this the fundrive you start giving with.

A gift today helps us continue to grow our listenership - on the air and online - so that more folks can have free access to local programming --- no paywalls, no subscriptions, no ads, AI, or algorithms.
The biggest impact you can have as a donor on the station is to become a sustainer. Just like your streaming services, add your beloved community radio station to the mix for as little as $9.11 a month. Remember if you give online, "skip the tip to Give Butter!" That doesn't come to the station.
Can’t afford to give. That’s ok! Please help spread the word and encourage your friends to give or help introduce us to new underwriters and sponsors!

Thank you!
