Charity Week 2026 is Finally Here! 🌍

Asalamwalaikum! UHMSA is joining Charity Week from October 19th to 25th, and we’re pleased to share the projects we will be uniting for, inshaAllah. This year’s lineup is built around one idea: when we unite, we don’t need to choose. We can fund them all.

Where your donation goes:

Gaza, Palestine (Health & Dignity): Helping children and families access essential healthcare, education, clean water, food, and safe spaces while supporting recovery in their communities.
Sudan & South Sudan (Relieve & Rebuild): Supporting families affected by conflict and climate shocks with clean water, food, healthcare, shelter, and opportunities to rebuild their lives.
Water (Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Mediterranean Sea, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Togo): Improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene through water-system and borehole rehabilitation, latrine construction, hygiene promotion, and climate-resilient infrastructure, whether in classrooms, communities, or on the open water.
Empowering Communities (Afghanistan, Colombia, Jordan, Morocco, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Syria): Improving access to essential services and creating sustainable livelihoods that lift communities out of poverty permanently, as well as responding to emergencies.
Orphan Support (Pakistan, Palestine & South Africa): Ongoing support for orphans to cover their livelihood and educational needs.

Donate for orphans and children in need. #CW2026

Founded in 1964, the UHMSA was established to provide a welcoming space for Muslim students at the University of Houston from all backgrounds and cultures. Our mission is to build a unified and empowered Muslim community through social events, education, public service, and outreach programs. We aim to strengthen our community while also educating and enlightening the broader public about the true teachings of Islam and the essence of being a Muslim.
