She faced osteosarcoma—the same aggressive bone cancer that takes far too many children—with extraordinary bravery and grace. On November 30, 2025, Gabrielle passed away while surrounded by immeasurable love. Her light, compassion, and the way she cared for others will remain with her family, friends, and community forever.

To honor Gabrielle’s life and legacy, her family has established The Gabrielle Wei Memorial Fund. All donations made in Gabrielle’s memory will be directed to Glimmers Childhood Cancer Foundation, a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit that invests every donated dollar into the most cutting-edge pediatric cancer research focused specifically on osteosarcoma and other aggressive childhood cancers.

Glimmers Childhood Cancer Foundation was created by 13-year-old Ava Decker, who also bravely fought osteosarcoma and passed away last year. Ava’s mission was clear—to accelerate better, safer, and more effective treatments for kids fighting the same relentless disease she endured. Gabrielle now joins Ava in that legacy of hope, purpose, and determination to change the future for children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
