Conference Coordinators from the CYFAM 4th Annual Conference, Pamana sa Kinabukasan (Gift to the Future): The Filipinx Legacy as Seeds of the Future, in Los Angeles, CA, in February 2024.

As one of the largest Asian-American subgroups within the United States, our Filipinx community continues to redefine healthcare by introducing our unique cultural perspectives that strengthen patient care, health equity, and community engagement. For our community, cultural understanding within healthcare is more than just a gesture; it’s a vital bridge, upon which trust is built, compassion flows through, and healing is able to reach further. Bridging the nuances of Filipinx values—such as family involvement in health decisions and traditional healing practices and approaches—enables our current and future generations of healthcare providers to better address the specific needs of Filipinx patients. This understanding empowers Filipinx healthcare professionals to advocate for systems and policies that reduce health disparities and improve access to care.

Our 5th Annual Conference, Tulay ng Pag-asa, will highlight the ways in which we, as a collective, serve as a bridge of hope, spanning the divide between innovation and culture. Here, we celebrate the intersections between tradition and advancement, spotlighting a future where healthcare isn’t just effective, but also profoundly inclusive and kind, harmonizing the science of medicine with the heart of the Filipinx spirit.

Can I register on-site?
- Yes, you may register on-site for the Conference by revisiting this page. QR codes and other signage will be present to guide you back here.
- If you have any questions, please ask any CYFAM organizers during check-in.
Can I pay by cash?
- We do not accept cash payments at this time or on-site at the Conference.
How do I pay by check?
- We do not accept check payments at this time or on-site at the Conference.
When do I get my name badge?
- You will receive your name badge during check-in at the Conference.
- Attendees registered on or after February 13, 2025, may be provided a hand-written name badge. This is due to logistical limitations for processing conference registrations. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Do I need to keep my name badge for both days?
- Yes, we kindly ask that you retain your name badge for all days of the Conference.
- Loss of your name badge may require re-registration and a new ticket.
Are lunch and snacks/beverages provided at the Conference?
- Yes, lunch is provided as part of your ticket for Day 1. Select snacks and beverages are provided on both days.
I am presenting. Do I need to register?
- Yes, as a presenter, you must register for the Conference.
I am an exhibitor. Do I need to register?
- Yes, as an exhibitor, you must register for the Conference.
- Please indicate that you are an Exhibitor as part of the registration process. Each exhibitor is entitled to three (3) persons. Any additional persons must register for the full ticket price, according to their tier.
  - For example, if Company X wishes to have five (5) persons represent them at the Conference, three (3) persons are covered, and the remaining two (2) persons must purchase individual tickets. If Company X decides to purchase the Guest Pass: Single-Session Access Only ticket for the remaining two (2) persons, they may only attend the Exhibitions component of the Conference.
- Exhibitors are permitted to attend Day 2 of the Conference.
Can I register a guest?
- CYFAM does not offer a full guest registration. Presenters can have two (2) spouses, parents, mentors, and/or friends attend their specific session for $9.95/each; additional persons must register for the full Conference. This can be added during the registration process.
  - Please select the Guest Pass: Single-Session Access Only ticket when registering your guest. You must accompany your guest at check-in.
  - If you would like your guest(s) to accompany you to multiple sessions, events, or the exhibition hall, they must register for the full Conference.
Can my family attend the Conference?
- Supervised children 17 and younger can attend for free and are welcome in all areas of the Conference during open times. However, if children begin to make noise during scientific sessions, it’s critical that parents remove them from the room immediately so as not to disturb the session. Children are not permitted in any Conference space during set-up and tear-down. Children must follow the health and safety policies to remain at the meeting.
- Presenters can have up to two (2) spouses, parents, mentors, and/or friends attend their session for $9.95/each. This can be added during the registration process. If you would like your family member(s) to accompany you to multiple sessions and events, they must be registered for the Conference.

Instructions to Locate the Entrance to Dorrance H. Hamilton Building

By Car or Ride-Share:
- Navigate to 1001 Locust Street. The building is located at the corner of Locust Street and 11th Street.
- Drop-off and pick-up are most convenient on Locust Street, directly in front of the building.
By Public Transportation:
- If arriving by SEPTA:
  - Take the Market-Frankford Line or Broad Street Line to the City Hall Station or Walnut-Locust Station, both a 10-minute walk from the building.
  - Alternatively, bus routes 9, 12, or 21 stop near Locust Street.
- Walk east along Locust Street toward 11th Street to reach the entrance.
By Foot or Bicycle:
- Walk or bike to 1001 Locust Street. Bike racks are available near the building for convenience.
Finding the Entrance:
- The main entrance is on Locust Street, clearly marked with signage for the Dorrance H. Hamilton Building.
- Look for the glass doors at the street level. If you see the corner of 11th and Locust, you’re at the right location.
- There will be a conference-specific sign to mark the entrance of the venue by the two glass doors.
Once Inside:
- Upon entering, you’ll find the reception area where conference volunteers can assist with checking in and directions to specific conference rooms or facilities.
