This year, Cyndi Risco is celebrating 55 years of life, faith, and God’s faithfulness. Instead of gifts, she is inviting friends and family to mark this milestone by giving back. Her simple ask is this: consider giving $55 in honor of her 55th birthday.

In June 2025, Cyndi traveled to Rwanda with Mosaic International and had the opportunity to visit Glorious Academy, a preschool in Musanze. She met the children, saw the school firsthand, and experienced the heart behind the work being done there. Now, as she celebrates her 55th birthday, she wants to help give more children in that same community the opportunity to attend school.

At Glorious Academy, $435 sponsors one child for an entire school year, helping cover school fees, a uniform, meals, and other essential needs. In honor of Cyndi’s 55th birthday, a gift of $55 provides more than a month of sponsorship and brings us closer to giving another child a full year of education and opportunity.

When those gifts come together, the impact adds up quickly. $435 sponsors one child for a school year. $870 sponsors two. $1,305 sponsors three. And $3,025 can send six children to Glorious Academy for an entire school year.

For Cyndi, these aren’t simply children on the other side of the world. This is a school she has walked through, a community she has visited, and children she has had the opportunity to meet. By donating her birthday, she is inviting her friends and family to become part of their story too.

My 55th Birthday Wish: Changing a Child’s Future

As I approach my 55th birthday, I find myself deeply grateful for the many ways God has blessed my life.

In June 2025, I had the privilege of traveling to Rwanda with an amazing team from Cornerstone Church Wildomar and Mosaic International. During our trip, we spent time at Glorious Academy, where I witnessed firsthand the incredible work being done there to transform the lives of children and their families.

What touched my heart most wasn’t just the school itself—it was the love. The teachers and staff pour into these beautiful children every single day, providing not only an education but also hope, encouragement, nourishment, and the opportunity to dream of a brighter future. Seeing their joy, resilience, and eagerness to learn and is something I’ll never forget.

Because of that experience, I have a birthday wish.
