Welcome to our Valentine's Day fundraising campaign for the Palestinian House of Friendship's distribution of "Boxes of Love".

We are horrified and terrified by the absolutely intolerable situation right now in Palestine. There are no words to describe the destruction of life and home and land carried out (and still being carried out, even with the ceasefire) by the Israeli government and military.

The Israeli right wing government, led by Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist ministers, has been escalating the violence on the West Bank, severely limiting movement of the population, destroying infrastructure, terrorizing the population by kidnapping and murdering civilians, stealing land and uprooting olive trees, beating people - the elderly, children, young people - without mercy. The annexation by Israel of the West Bank is not even silent anymore as there are no repercussions at least from the US and other nations. The international community on the nation level have barely responded.

Despite these daily threats to life, our friends on the ground, leading the Palestinian House of Friendship in Nablus on the West Bank, are determined to help their fellow citizens. And so are we.

Local PHF volunteers are loading Boxes of Love with rice, flour, cooking oil, blankets, masks, hand-sanitizer, soap, school bags for children, toys, books, and many other useful items and are distributing them to the most impacted and vulnerable families in their community.

Here in the US we often feel powerless in the face of such atrocities. But here is something we can do. Please join this effort and give a Box of Love to those families and children most in need? A donation of $50 will enable 1 Box of Love to be delivered to a needy family in Palestine. (More equals more!) Anything you can give will make a difference; as Majed Sawalha, co-director of PHF says, every dollar counts more than you think!!
