The 2026 DanceLab Fall Show marks the culmination of a nine-week residency, bringing together artists from Basin Arts' 2026 DanceLab Choreographer Cohort and their performers to share original works developed through artistic exploration, collaboration, and creative experimentation.

Basin Arts’ DanceLab is a seasonal residency program for professional choreographers, from within Acadiana and beyond. Established and emerging dance artists are offered access to professional dance classes and subsidized rehearsal space to support the development of new work.

By investing in the choreographic process, DanceLab strengthens the broader dance ecosystem—providing artists with the time, space, and resources needed to experiment, take risks, and refine their artistic voices. This support not only leads to more ambitious and high-quality performances, but also fosters collaboration, mentorship, and the exchange of ideas across experience levels.
