Back by popular demand… the Dark Side of Center Square rises again.

Join Historic Albany Foundation for The Dark Side of Center Square, a guided walking tour into the true crime, sinister local lore, conspiracies, and unsolved mysteries lurking beneath the streets of one of Albany’s most historic neighborhoods.

Follow in the footsteps of the infamous Silent Stalker. Unearth stories once buried in long-lost newspapers and traded only in hushed whispers. Hear the chilling tale of the attempt on the life of Albany’s Halloween Queen, and discover the neighborhood’s connection to the notorious Gallows Hill.

Behind the elegant brownstones and familiar streets lies another Center Square—a place of murder, mystery, scandal, and stories Albany never quite managed to bury.

The past isn’t always pretty. Sometimes, it’s downright dark.
