Light the Way for Day Camp

This holiday season, AYF Camp Haiastan is excited to bring a new twist to our annual Giving Tuesday and Christmas fundraiser. In place of our traditional Christmas Card Appeal, we invite you to join our Light the Way for Day Camp campaign to raise the remaining funds for the newly installed Day Camp Pavilion.

With a minimum donation of $50, you can still share your holiday wishes with the Camp Haiastan family while also helping fund the new Day Camp Pavilion. Here’s how it works:

Donate to the Light the Way campaign fund
Submit your one-line Christmas or New Year message, which will be featured in our digital Christmas Card, and shared with all of Camp’s supporters.
Get the rewards that were part of the original pavilion fundraising drive (see below).

Our Vision

For more than 70 years, AYF Camp Haiastan has provided a nurturing environment where Armenian youth from around the globe gather to celebrate heritage, forge lasting friendships, and build a strong sense of community. As we mark the 20th anniversary of our Day Camp program, we are excited to enhance our facilities with a new pavilion, ensuring that we continue to provide the best experiences for campers today – and in the future. This pavilion is not just an upgrade; it's a commitment to providing our campers with the best possible experience.

Why a New Pavilion?

The new pavilion replaces our current 20'x20' pop-up day camp tent, which has served us well but is no longer sufficient for our needs. This permanent structure, situated conveniently across from the Dikran Tzamour Hall, provides easy access to essential facilities like water fountains, bathrooms, and storage.

What Will Your Contributions Support?

Thanks to the generosity of the Foundation for Armenian Youth (formerly Armenian Youth Foundation) and the Armenian Relief Society of Eastern USA, we have secured 50% of our fundraising goal. We need your help to reach 100%. Funds raised will be directed towards:

A robust 20'x30' pavilion with an all-steel shelter, insulated roof panels, and asphalt shingles.
A concrete pad and improving the surrounding area for safety and accessibility.
Furnishings and possibly electrical installations for enhanced activity options under the pavilion.

$100: An engraved brick placed on the pathway to the pavilion structure
