On August 5, 2018 a police chase between a local police department and a known drug addict progressed through a Detroit residential neighborhood at high speed and hit Daziah Crawford along with her brother. Unfortunately, Daziah was killed. It was a national news story.

The family has turned pain into purpose and created a foundation in Daziah's honor, The Daziah T. Crawford Foundation. Her interests were performing arts and journalism. The foundation provides scholarships to qualifying high school seniors and college freshmen. To date, we have awarded 17 scholarships across the U.S. Our goal is to provide full scholarships to our recipients.

This showcase displays the amazing talent that we have in our own backyard. Local artists J3, Ari B, Sam Watson, Keely Ferguson and headliner Asaka the Renegade will be performing. Youth journalists from Our Time Youth Broadcasting Network will be interviewing our sponsors, artists, attendees and foundation staff.
