You are Invited to join Grandmother Flordemayo and Richard James for an intimate afternoon exploring one of humanity’s greatest mysteries: death, transformation, timing, and the eternal journey of the soul. Hosted by Ward and Clara Hendon at Casa de los Nubes in Santa Fe, this gathering blends Mayan cosmology, evolutionary astrology, spiritual philosophy, storytelling, tea, cake, ritual, and heartfelt conversation.

Grandmother Flordemayo and Richard first connected through GAIA, where their shared love of spirit, wisdom, and the unseen worlds created an immediate bond. Over time, that connection became something deeper and more personal. Grandmother Flordemayo lovingly adopted Richard and his brother Andrew into her heart and family circle — a beautiful reflection of the kinship, trust, and soul recognition that lives at the center of this gathering.

There is an old teaching often attributed to the Buddha:
“The trouble is, you think you have time.”

Whether or not those exact words were spoken, the wisdom echoes across spiritual traditions throughout the world: life is precious because it is temporary. A similar Buddhist teaching reminds us that life can be as brief as a single breath.

In Mayan cosmology, death is not viewed as an ending alone, but as transformation — a continuation of the great cycle of life, remembrance, rebirth, and return. In astrology, the stars reveal cycles of endings and beginnings, fate and free will, soul evolution, and divine timing.

A photograph or small memento for the Ancestors Altar — honoring a loved one who has crossed over, including a family member, friend, mentor, or beloved fur baby.
Optional meaningful objects — a journal, crystal, handwritten note, flower, seed, or sacred item connected to memory, ancestry, or healing.

How to Dress

Dress for tea time, sacred salon, or vintage gathering — elegant, whimsical, mysterious, earthy, celestial, classic, floral, Victorian, bohemian, or simply beautifully you.
