After more than 10 years of planning, we are excited to invite you to Dedication Day – a day full of activities to inaugurate, dedicate, commemorate, and celebrate the opening of the Bay Area Young Survivors Breast Cancer Memorial Garden.

The activities that day will happen in two places: the Memorial itself and the reception area in the Orchid Pavilion at the Conservatory of Flowers, just a short walk from the Memorial. This will allow everyone in attendance some quiet, contemplative time at the Memorial, while the Orchid Pavilion at the Conservatory can hold significantly more people, allowing us time to gather, visit, and enjoy refreshments.

Accordingly, we are offering several timed ticket options in your registration. The cost of your ticket is helping to subsidize a portion of the cost of the event. Our small-but-mighty non-profit organization thanks you very much.

The schedule is as follows:

1:00 - 1:15pm - Arrival and check-in at the Orchid Pavilion
1:15pm - Dedication Remarks and Speeches
Walking Tours of the Memorial at 1:25, 1:45pm, and 2:05

2:00 - 2:15pm - Arrival and check-in at the Orchid Pavilion
2:15pm - Dedication Remarks and Speeches
Walking Tours of the Memorial at 2:25, 2:45pm, and 3:05

3:00 - 3:15pm - Arrival and check-in at the Orchid Pavilion
3:15pm - Dedication Remarks and Speeches
Walking Tours of the Memorial at 3:25, 3:45pm, and 4:05

After the Dedication Day, the Memorial will be fully open and accessible to the public, and we hope you return to the site for years to come.

Please note that there will be a videographer and photographer on site capturing footage of this very special event. The footage will be used by BAYS over time, and a subset of the photos will be released to the press.
