Did you know that there were over 466 petitions of dependency, abuse, and neglect in Calloway, Christian, and Marshall Counties in 2025? CASA by the Lakes is a local non-profit dedicated to giving a voice to children in our community. Our mission is to provide trained volunteers who advocate for children between the ages of 0-18 who are victims of dependency, abuse and neglect.

On May 1st, 2026, at 6:00 pm, we will be holding our Derby After Dark at the Calloway County Public Library, and we would love for you to join us. This fun-filled event will feature a dinner, music, an open bar, a silent and live auction, and more! All proceeds from the event will stay in our local community to provide advocacy services for abused and neglected children in Calloway, Christian, and Marshall Counties.

It takes roughly $1,200 a year to provide a CASA advocate to a child for one year, and we rely on fundraising events like this to help fund our mission to serve as a powerful voice in a child’s life. Because of generous donations from members of the community, we were able to serve 137 children in 2025 compared to 108 children in 2024. Yet, sadly there are still hundreds of local children that need our help. We hope to see you on May 1st!
