Welcome to Detroit Waldorf School's Walk & Roll!

For over 40 years, DWS students, teachers, families, and friends have gathered each October for the Walk & Roll. Our largest student-led fundraiser, the Walk & Roll is an exciting way to get students engaged in fundraising. Each student is asked to raise $250 to help reach our school’s collective goal of $65,500. In DWS tradition, 8th graders will bike, while the rest of our grade students will walk (and those using mobility devices will roll) laps around the island to meet their class mile goals. Early Childhood students will walk their own route with family members and teachers from the Belle Isle Casino to the Kids Row playground.

Detroit Waldorf School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 38-1790921). Tuition covers 80% of the actual costs required to operate our school, and we rely on the generosity of our community to help close this gap. Funds raised for the Walk & Roll directly support what makes our school so special—our dedicated teachers, high-quality art materials and classroom supplies, care of our historic building, and enriching educational programs for our students. Donations to the Walk & Roll are 100% tax-deductible.

Whether you are walking, rolling, or simply cheering from the sidelines, all are invited to join us in moving in support of our school at the Walk & Roll on Friday, October 23rd, on Belle Isle.
