Hosted during the Diaspora Returns Experience, Impact Day transforms goodwill into measurable economic and social impact, proving that when the diaspora unites, transformation is inevitable. The Diaspora Returns impact project is collective impact in action.

Our Impact Focus Areas

1. Micro-Grants for Small Businesses & Women Entrepreneurs

We will distribute $500 micro-grants to small businesses and women entrepreneurs across Nigeria and Ghana, with priority given to widowed women and rural business owners.

With Union Bank of Nigeria and Ghana Consolidated Bank as our Official Banking Partners, beneficiaries will:

Receive funds through formal banking channels
Open savings accounts for long-term financial inclusion
Access entrepreneurship and business structuring support

This ensures impact that lasts beyond the grant.

2. Supporting New Mothers with Dignity

In many communities, new mothers are unable to leave hospitals because they cannot pay their medical bills.

Impact Day ensures this is not the case.

Diaspora Returns will directly cover hospital bills for new mothers, allowing them to return home, care for their newborns, and begin motherhood with dignity and peace of mind.

3. Food & Hygiene Support for Orphanages

In partnership with Waterlight Save Initiative, we will deliver food and hygiene kits to orphanages, ensuring children have access to basic necessities that support health, stability, and care.
