🚨 URGENT SITREP 🎖️ BRONZE STAR VETERAN IN CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA 🚨

Want to understand why so many animals end up in shelters and why so many people lose hope?

This is one example.

A disabled female veteran, Bronze Star recipient, and recent widow in Charleston was wrongly evicted from a home she had been purchasing.

There is a much larger legal story, and attorneys are expected to become involved.

But legal action takes time, and her dog may not have time.

While she was away, her belongings were placed on the street and her Service Dog in Training was taken to an animal shelter.

She spent one night homeless before local advocates were able to place her in a hotel. She has now been moved three times, with the current hotel providing a small kitchenette.

Her dog is currently separated from her and may be released for adoption or potentially transferred to another shelter where euthanasia could become a possibility beginning Wednesday, July 15.

Once her dog is gone, that loss may be impossible to reverse.

The VA cannot assist her with housing until July 28. VA shelters are full and will not accept her dog. Other shelters may accept her, but not the animal she depends upon.

Local advocates are working on longer term support and temporary assistance while she stabilizes.

The Patriot’s Voice Foundation is focused on the emergency directly in front of us. We want to get her dog safely out of the shelter and reunited with her.

We are seeking $340 to help provide:

🐾 Shelter release fees

🐾 Dog food

🐾 Immediate care and support while she works toward stability

She is currently receiving food assistance only sporadically and will need help caring for her dog during this crisis.

This veteran has already lost her husband, her home, and much of her security.

Please help us make sure she does not lose her dog too.
