The UFW Foundation is responding to farm worker families affected by disasters in a variety of ways including:

Research and Data resources to survey thousands of farm workers on the effects of climate disasters
Immigration legal assistance to help reduce legal hardships farm worker families face.
Travel with farm workers to the state and national capitals as they advocate for their communities to address climate change policy to fight for environmental equity and justice in farm worker communities.
Collaboration with other community partners to provide comprehensive disaster relief to rural communities.
Advocacy for policy changes at the state and national level to address climate and environmental equity for farm workers, including protection from extreme heat, wildfires, and neurotoxic pesticides.

Join us in this fight against climate change by supporting the UFW Foundation in our efforts to protect outdoor workers from the consequences of climate change, including unpredictable weather patterns, extreme temperatures, and other environmental challenges.

In the past few years the UFW Foundation has responded to winter storms, hurricanes and wild fires affecting farm worker and rural communities. We work with partners to provide food, water and other basic necessities for farm workers who are often left out of mainstream disaster relief programs due to their citizenship status. We work with farm workers on their path towards long term recovery.
