Wow...

Firstly, let me start off by saying that you all have been inspiring the past few weeks. No, wait, you have always been inspiring, but in the last few weeks you have definitely stepped up. I am honored to witness this continued outpouring of love and support for complete strangers on the other side of the world.

One of you wrote something last week that not only resonated with me, but really helped my mental state. I want to quote it here: "remember that there's a lot of wonderful people fighting for freedom, and those who help them -in UA and other places-, that you may not even know. While they exist, it's all worth it."

In other news, UFL's Arcaist continues his incredible work behind the scenes, purchasing so much gear for our Ukrainian defenders that his mail carrier must be looking into changing delivery routes! Anyway, since his basement is filling up with stuff from his AFU contacts and you folks seem to like the big packs we have raffled the last few weeks, we decided to add a pack bundle to our regular raffle rotation. We hope you like it!

This week:

It's not sexy or headline-grabbing, but we need to refill our general fund this week and next. UFL fields lots of smaller requests that don't warrant a discrete fundraising campaign but are nonetheless impactful. Many of these requests are also very time-sensitive and we don't have the luxury of time to make the requestor wait weeks to get the gear; enter the general fund.

$2 Tuesday ticket

Let's start off with a signed flag from the 116th Territorial Defense Brigade! And just to make it more fun, we are adding two refrigerator magnets based on special Ukrainian postage stamps from the early days of the invasion. As a fun little fact, I have the same two magnets on my fridge at home, given to me by my friend in Kharkiv. 😀

$5 Multi-pack

This is a full-course meal of goodies. Your amuse-bouche is the Ukrainian salute desk flag, followed by a starter of official AFU socks. The main course is a flag of the 150th Reconnaissance Strike Battalion served in a ruzzian helmet with a side of ruzzian patches. For dessert, you have another chance to get the Predator patch from the Khyzhak Brigade. (You bought them a vehicle a couple weeks ago)

For context, the Khyzhaks are currently pushing the orcs out of Toretsk. The helmet was taken after a ruzzian mobik dropped it while fleeing in Sudzha, and the patches were collected from a ruzzian POW. The socks and flag were giving to UFL by our Ukrainian contacts for "general-fund-type" assistance.

In closing:

This was a fun one for me, as it was a grab-bag of stuff that showcases the variety UFL uses its general fund for. Plus, our US administration hasn't created a geopolitical debacle yet this week!

Thank you so much for continuing to bring light into my life. It's really awesome to see the immediate bond that this horrible war has created among Ukrainian supporters.
