Dolly Invested in Young Readers. Will You?

Imagine a young child opening the mailbox and discovering a book addressed just to them. That book becomes more than something to read, it can become a bedtime favorite, a special moment with a caregiver, and another opportunity to build a lifelong love of learning.

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children receive high-quality, age-appropriate books mailed directly to their homes at no cost to their families.

Dolly Parton and The Dollywood Foundation created an extraordinary model to make this possible. The Foundation supports the program's infrastructure, coordinates book selection, procurement, and fulfillment, and purchases high-quality customized books at scale to help keep costs low. Local partners, like Alamance Partnership for Children, help cover the remaining cost of the books and mailing for children enrolled in our community. Your donation helps us continue bringing the joy of books directly to young children in Alamance County.
