About Our Playground Project

It all started with one beautiful evening at a playground in our neighboring town.

When our daughter Camilla was born, we made a promise to spend as much time outdoors as possible. We quickly discovered that playgrounds are more than just places for children to play; they are spaces for learning, social interaction, laughter, and connection. They bring families together and create a true sense of community.

That experience inspired us to dream bigger.

Today, we are working to bring that same feeling to our own community by creating a modern, safe, and welcoming playground where families can gather, children can grow, and memories can be made.

Sponsor a Playground Feature

Local businesses have a unique opportunity to help bring this playground to life by sponsoring individual features within the play space. From climbers and slides to musical play stations and shaded areas, each element plays an important role in creating a safe, engaging place for children and families to gather.

Sponsoring a feature allows businesses and community partners to make a meaningful investment in the neighborhood while supporting a project that will serve families for years to come. These larger contributions help us fund the most impactful parts of the playground and move the project closer to completion.

Businesses interested in sponsoring a specific playground feature can select the item from the fund list when making a donation. Once a feature is fully sponsored, it will be marked as complete so the community can see the progress as the playground comes together.

Playground Project Overview

We are proposing the installation of a new, modern playground designed for children ages 2–12. The playground will enhance the overall experience for families visiting the creamery while also serving the broader community during clearly posted public hours.

The playground equipment is manufactured by Miracle Recreation Equipment Company and supplied by Creative Recreation LLC, a highly respected local company.

Creative Recreation is also the company behind Rotary Park in Simsbury, a well-known and successful community playground that many families already enjoy and trust.

Safety & Accessibility First

Safety and inclusion are central to this project.

All equipment meets current Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines.
The playground is IPEMA certified.
Fully ADA compliant, ensuring accessibility for all children.
Poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing provides safe, stable access for wheelchairs, mobility devices, and strollers.

The playground will be enclosed with a four-foot decorative black aluminum fence to create a secure and controlled environment. The gated entrance will connect directly to the asphalt parking lot, allowing clear visibility and convenient access.
