Dante came to us today carrying the kind of pain no dog should ever endure. His tiny body was swallowed by mats so dense and tight he could barely walk. One toenail had grown so long it curled under his paw, pierced through the pad, and exited through the top — an injury that must have hurt with every single step.

He had to be fully sedated just to be shaved. Underneath all that matted fur was a trembling little dog who had been suffering quietly for far too long.

But today? His whole world changed.

He is safe. He is clean. He is finally able to move without agony, even if he's practically learning to walk again. And tonight, he is experiencing gentle hands, soft voices, and the promise of comfort.

Now begins the part where we help him heal.

We don't know what all Dante will need yet. Today, he was given tender medical care by our friends at Mazie's Mission, pain management, antibiotics, grooming recovery, ear infection medication, and ongoing support to make sure his injured paw heals properly. His past left him hurting, but his future can be full of hope, and that’s where you come in.
