The Nathan Powell Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals living with spinal cord injuries live with greater independence, dignity, and hope. Founded by Nathan Powell through his own experience with a spinal cord injury, the foundation understands how difficult it can be to obtain essential equipment and support.

Our mission is to provide assistance with eligible durable medical equipment needs that can improve safety, mobility, comfort, and quality of life. As a small foundation, we work carefully and responsibly—one person and one need at a time—when funding is available.

Our work is guided by five core values:
