Regenerate the Bay Doughnut Accelerator

Summer/Fall 2025 • SF Bay Area Bioregion • Hybrid Program

Scaling regenerative solutions at the intersection of ecology, economy, and community.

Criteria for Participants:

Open to all entity types (startups, companies, nonprofits, cooperatives/employee-owned, etc.)
Your work should be at prototype phase or beyond, and currently driving a level of impact or revenue that fits one of the social or planetary categories of the Doughnut Economics framework.
You commit to 2-4 hours per week of participation, culminating in a demo day to show funders the milestone you achieved during the program.

Funding Opportunities: This is a $40k pilot program. Your contribution to this program means the world to both the teams we can support and our ability to provide the necessary time, resources, and mentoring to help these teams scale their vital solution.

$2,000 covers the program cost for an entire team, allowing us to offer scholarships for participants with financial constraints
$1,000 covers the program costs for 2 participants
$500 covers an individual participation fee

The SF Bay Area and wider Bay-Delta Bioregion hold extraordinary potential to lead the world in regenerative innovation, yet face profound interconnected crises: Climate disruption, biodiversity loss, systemic inequities, inadequate affordable housing, eroding public health, economic fragility, and fractured communities.

This hybrid initiative builds on bioregional, place-based strategies grounded in Doughnut Economics to catalyze solutions at the intersection of ecology, economy, and community. Our goal is a flourishing, regenerative, resilient bioregion, and improving best practices to contribute to those efforts at local, state, national, and global levels.

Doughnut Impact: Tangible, measurable impact on key elements in local Doughnut Economics of the Bay Area Bioregion
Initiative Impact: Number of initiatives supported, launched, and sustained
Community Reach: Number of people positively impacted by initiatives
