This spring, we are encouraging everyone to unplug from the daily hustle and bustle, and spend time outdoors—just like our mascot, Doug the Slug! Your donation will support program scholarships, free public school field trips, and free community based nature programs that improve physical and mental health, promote environmental stewardship, and build stronger communities. Wild Whatcom fosters lifelong connections to nature. We want every community and ecosystem in Whatcom County to thrive. Our programs provide safe, welcoming opportunities for people to enjoy the outdoors, learn more about the wonders of local parks and nature spaces, and get to know their neighbors.

What we can make happen this spring and summer with your support:

Over $12,000 in summer scholarships for low income youth to attend summer camp
Environmental education field trips for 2 & 3rd grade classrooms in low-income and rural schools
Free nature programs for our community, focused on community building, naturalist knowledge and reducing barriers to getting outside
