Chef Charlie Mitchell will prepare a rare and intimate dinner featuring bottles opened directly from the personal cellar of Jeremy Seysses, legendary vigneron of Domaine Dujac. Domaine Dujac is a prestigious Burgundy winery, family-owned and run by the Seysses family, known for its elegant, long-lived Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to taste treasures seldom shared beyond the family table. The evening’s menu will be crafted by Chef Charlie Mitchell, the first Black Michelin-starred chef in NYC. His artistry will meet Burgundy’s most revered wines in a dinner that transcends borders, history, and tradition.

Every glass raised, and every plate savored advances The Roots Fund’s mission to empower underrepresented communities in wine and spirits through financial support, education, mentorship, and career development — fostering lasting success across the beverage industry. Tonight's funds will specifically power our "It Was All a Dream" scholarship, honoring the legacy of Chef James "Jamal" Kent. This scholarship focuses on supporting the beverage staff working in the hospitality business.

About SAGA:

Built as the headquarters of Cities Service Company, the Art Deco tower at 70 Pine Street was completed in 1932. The company’s founder, Henry Latham Doherty, reserved the spire of the building to use as a private triplex apartment. Today, Saga occupies these lofty floors, transforming this storied New York penthouse into a world-class dining experience with uninterrupted views of the New York skyline.
