Community Step Team The Step Into Purpose Community Step Team is more than a performance group—it is a movement. This team brings together community members who are ready to step into their purpose, using rhythm, unity, and cultural expression to uplift Black voices and support maternal and family wellness. Rooted in African and African American traditions, stepping becomes a tool for healing, storytelling, and collective power. Through synchronized movement, powerful chants, and shared discipline, team members build confidence, leadership, and deep community connection. This fundraiser step team directly supports programs that serve Black and Brown families, including maternal mental health, postpartum care, and youth development. Every stomp, clap, and chant represents a commitment to showing up for our community—together. No prior step experience is required—only a willingness to learn, grow, and move with purpose.
