WRIC celebrates 50 YEARS of advancing opportunities to support the economic aspirations, self-sufficiency, and emotional well-being of individuals so they may live with hope, security, and dignity.

Our story began 50 years ago when Phoebe Seham, a local attorney, met with a group of women around a kitchen table to create an agency to help women facing difficult life decisions and striving to become self-sufficient.

50 years later, WRIC is going strong, and remains devoted to its mission. Over the past five decades, WRIC has been a safety net, a source of hope and opportunity, and a portal to a better life, for thousands of Bergen County residents.
