The earth of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Indonesia, shook violently as a devastating earthquake suddenly struck residential areas. What had been a calm morning instantly turned into overwhelming panic. Deep rumbles from beneath the ground accompanied collapsing walls and crumbling public facilities, destroying tens of thousands of buildings and forcing hundreds of families out of their homes in a matter of seconds.

The impact of this earthquake was felt severely across various regions. The disaster tragically claimed 75 lives, while more than 900 people suffered minor to severe injuries requiring ongoing medical care. Conditions on the ground remain challenging as aftershocks continue to occur, prompting authorities to urge residents to stay out of buildings and remain in open areas for their safety.

Currently, a total of 92,735 people has been forced to evacuate, scattered across several areas including Nagekeo, Manggarai, and West Manggarai Regencies, as well as surrounding regions. The majority of survivors are now enduring tough conditions in temporary emergency shelters and makeshift tents.
