About Mare Nostrum Elements' Emerging Choreographer Series (ECS)

The Emerging Choreographer Series is an intensive crash-course in self-producing; offering rehearsal space, dancer and choreographer pay, career development consultations, and professional mentorship to selected choreographers. During the course of the program, choreographers will create, develop, and premiere a new work at CUNY’s LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC) in Long Island City, Flushing Town Hall in Flushing-Queens and El Barrio's Arts Space in East Harlem, NYC.

Our primary mission is to create emotionally-driven stage productions that explore and celebrate dance, theater and movement. In addition to creating original works, Mare Nostrum Elements serves as a production company for artists whose vision fits MNE's mission, and a training outlet to nurture and strengthen the performing arts community.
