The values and skills young people learn in sex ed classes – things like consent and bodily autonomy, respect for each other, how to handle rejection, how to build healthy relationships and navigate conflict peacefully – are fundamental to building communities strong enough to resist authoritarianism.

Now more than ever, local organizing is where hope is possible. Local organizing also runs on small budgets, so you can make a big impact with whatever size gift you are able to give.

We know full well what the extremists are going to try to do, but whether they succeed is at least in part up to us. The organizers, school board members, and candidates who are right now preparing to step up for sex ed 2025 are heroes. The least we can do is make sure they have everything they need to win the future.
