At Urban Roots, we believe in the power of young people to transform their communities. Our mission, farming to grow young minds and cultivate tomorrow’s leaders, guides everything we do.

We're more than a farm just growing food; we're cultivating a movement. We provide opportunities for young people to gain important leadership skills through paid positions, connecting them to the land, their community, and the local food system in a way that's both grounding and welcoming. Calling Everyone Interested in our Programming!

We invite any families, students, and educators interested in learning about our youth programs to connect with us on the farm! This is a free opportunity to speak with the Urban Roots Programs Team about our paid leadership development programs, educational tours, and other ways to get involved!

This event is right for you if you fit any of the following:

✨ You are connected to a student eligible for our leadership programs
✨ You are a middle school or high school student
✨You are a K-12 educator in Travis County or nearby areas
✨ You are connected to students who are eligible for our paid leadership programs – ages 13-17 or post-8th - 12th grades
✨ You want to know more about our K-12 educational farm tours, paid leadership development programs, or other partnership opportunities!
