My name is Edward Kimera, and I am a 20-year-old student, agricultural leader, and founder of Sustainable Agricultural Program Uganda in Namayumba, Wakiso District, Uganda.

Today I am completing my Senior 6 studies at Extreme High School, where I discovered a passion for agriculture that has shaped my future. Through hands-on learning, I gained practical skills in sustainable farming and developed leadership experience that now allows me to guide approximately twenty student farmers in our school's agricultural program.

Like many young people in Uganda, I have faced significant family and financial challenges while pursuing my education. Despite these obstacles, I remained committed to learning, serving others, and building a vision that can help strengthen food security and create opportunities for vulnerable communities.These experiences inspired me to create a vision for the future: Sustainable Agricultural Program Uganda.My goal is to help communities facing food insecurity gain practical farming knowledge that can improve food production, strengthen household resilience, and create new opportunities for young people. In the future, I hope to establish a demonstration site where farmers, youth, and community members can learn sustainable agricultural practices together.

I also dream of supporting vulnerable children, including orphans and street children, by teaching practical farming skills that can help them build healthier and more independent lives.

When I am home from school, I help my father manage our family's banana garden and continue applying the agricultural skills I have learned.At the same time, I am working to complete my education and prepare for further studies. Like many young leaders, balancing school, family responsibilities, and community service is not always easy.
