’Twas a week before winter, and all through the town,

Elgin was buzzin’—the news spread around!

The wreaths were all hung in the hall with great care,

In hopes that generous neighbors soon would be there.

The folks at the Education Foundation smiled with delight,

Knowing something wonderful was happening tonight.

With laughter and cheer, and bright eyes aglow,

It was time for the grandest holiday show!

When out on Main Street there arose such a cheer,

As friends and supporters gathered quite near.

To The Business Social they came with delight,

Dressed in sleek cocktail attire for the night—

Ready for bidding, for bites, and for fun,

To support Elgin’s students until the evening was done!

The wreaths were magnificent—glimmering gold,

Dressed in deep velvet and evergreen bold.

Each branch held a promise, each bow held a dream,

To empower our classrooms with support supreme.

So mark your calendars and secure your place,

For an unforgettable evening of warmth, cheer, and grace.

70 lucky guests will share in the joy,

Creating bright futures for every girl and boy!
