As more of life runs on technology, how do we stay human?

This October 5th–10th, Especially Everyone brings connection to the region: five days of events across Westchester, NY and Lower Fairfield County, CT, building to one culminating night at The Capitol Theatre. Join us in bringing this week to life and building a more connected community through music. 💜

Why This Matters

One in two adults in the U.S. report feeling lonely, and one in five identify as neurodivergent. In 2023, the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness a public health epidemic. Connection isn't a nice-to-have. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to connect to and through music, and this week exists to break down the barriers that keep people from doing just that.

The Week

From October 5th–9th, panels, sound circles, drum circles, dance church, workshops, and warmup parties come to venues across the region. Every one of them is being built right now with organizations and neighbors across our community, because a week like this only happens when people build it together. It all leads to October 10th, World Mental Health Day and World Inclusion Day.

October 10th at The Capitol Theatre

Especially Everyone returns to The Capitol Theatre for a night in celebration of neurodiversity, live music, and connection. The EE Ensemble takes the Cap stage with very special guests Oteil Burbridge, Jennifer Hartswick, and Karl Denson in a show built to break down barriers so everyone has the opportunity to connect to and through live music.

This is a concert that makes a statement: music is a right, not a privilege, and everyone belongs in the room. Every guest can participate in their own way, whether that's dancing, singing, playing, or simply soaking in the sound. The evening features:

Our signature Listening Lounge, offering noise-cancelling and silent disco headphones, bass pack vibrating vests, and other tools to enhance the musical experience
Break Areas away from the crowd and the music, for quiet time and recharging
Sound Stations with interactive instruments that invite hands-on music-making for everyone in the room (provided by Hop!)
Immersive art installations that invite exploration, movement, and playful engagement
The freedom to move, vocalize, and participate without judgment: an open invitation to show up as your most authentic self

The Listening Lounge and Sound Stations: headphones, vibrating bass packs, instruments, and the tools that let every person experience the music their own way
Free and reduced-price tickets, so cost never decides who gets to be in the room
The musicians, the sound, and the production design that make a room work for the full range of how people experience it
The staff and volunteers who make the week feel like a place you can show up as yourself
The five days across the region: the venues, gear, and hosting that bring these events to Westchester and Fairfield
Growing a local network of artists and organizations using music to build connection across our community
