The El Dorado High School Orchestra is directed by Mr. Taylor Smith. Two ensembles, Concert Orchestra and Sinfonia Orchestra, comprise the string music program that provides a family for student musicians at school. The Hawktet, a quartet of two violinists, one violist, and one cellist, also performs for special events at school, in the community, and is available for hire.

Our goals:

• Instill life-long values of responsibility, accountability, teamwork, problem solving, creativity and cultural appreciation in students from all economic and social backgrounds.

• Develop the next generation of professionals and community leaders through achieving excellence in the study and performance of symphonic music.

• Support music education in the North Orange County area through collaboration with local music educators, school music programs and arts organizations.

• Strengthen the foundation of our community by enriching the quality of life and adding to the vibrancy of our diverse culture in Southern California.
