The El Dorado High School Orchestra is directed by Mr. Taylor Smith. Two ensembles, Concert Orchestra and Sinfonia Orchestra, comprise the string music program that provides a family for student musicians at school. The Hawktet, a quartet of two violinists, one violist, and one cellist, also performs for special events at school, in the community, and is available for hire.

Our goals:

Instill life-long values of responsibility, accountability, teamwork, problem solving, creativity and cultural appreciation in students from all economic and social backgrounds.

Develop the next generation of professionals and community leaders through achieving excellence in the study and performance of symphonic music.

Support music education in the North Orange County area through collaboration with local music educators, school music programs and arts organizations.

Strengthen the foundation of our community by enriching the quality of life and adding to the vibrancy of our diverse culture in Southern California.
