We believe that the magic of camp shouldn't have an age limit. The feelings of embracing nature, connection, and pure, simple joy are timeless human needs.

🏕️ The Elderflower Adult Day Center is more than just a place to spend the day. Our mission is to mentally and physically enrich our aging population’s daily lives through connection to nature, integrative medicine, and a thriving multigenerational community.

For so many elders in our area, the days can be long and isolating. We’re changing that.

☀️ Our Day Camps are the first of their kind in the region, offering a warm, welcoming place for Buncombe County elders to:

Deepen Social Connection
Spark Mental Engagement
Promote Physical Wellness
Heal Through Nature
Rekindle a Sense of Purpose & Joy
Eat a Nourishing, Home-Cooked Meal

But for many on a fixed income, the cost is a barrier. For others, the distance to our Elderflower and the lack of transportation are the barriers.

Our goal is for every elder who wants to experience this joy to have the chance.

❤️ Share the joy of camp for seniors in our community with your donation.

Our scholarships for the young at heart allow us to provide sliding scale or free camp for low-income seniors. They also allow us to provide transportation vouchers. Meanwhile, caregivers gain much needed respite.

Here's how your support makes a difference:

$10 provides lunch for one camper for one day
$60 provides a 3-hour day camp for one elder
$100 provides food and supplies for one week of camp
$250 provides rides for 4 campers
$500 provides a month of craft and garden supplies
$1,000 provides a month of camp for an elder
