Last week’s massive storms and power outages highlighted a critical emergency for one of our local families. Due to a progressive disability, their home has become physically inaccessible, leaving them in a dangerous situation without a safe way in or out.

At The Ability Collective, we work hard to navigate complex systems and find long-term funding for families. But sometimes, a crisis won't wait for paperwork.

We found an immediate way to get this family moving safely. We have secured an additional 21 feet of ramp that matches the system we use for our Community Ramp Program. Combined, this gives us the length required to get them safely in and out of their home. This temporary setup keeps them safe and sound while we pursue a more permanent solution.

While this quick fix keeps them safe, it has drained our emergency resources. We need to raise $2,500 to cover the cost of this ramp and replenish our emergency funds. If you have the means to give, your support will directly restore freedom and safety to a neighbor in crisis.
