Help us say yes to saving lives like Bobcat's again.

Pictured Is little Bobcat - we said yes to him earlier this summer when a plea went out about his thyroid condition. He is on daily medication and needs ongoing vet care and diagnostic monitoring. Sadly, there are healthier, even adoption ready kittens just like him we had to say no to this week facing euthanasia at shelters just outside of Austin. We are simply out of resources and need help.

We are facing a harsh reality - we do not have funding to keep saying yes.

Effective immediately, we have closed intake and can't save more until we raise $10,000.

We are being forced to turn away vulnerable animals sitting in shelters—animals just like sweet Bobcat, pictured above. These dogs and cats are running out of time, but we no longer have the funding to keep saying yes.

Veterinary costs continue to rise, and unexpected medical emergencies—even after routine procedures—have depleted our resources beyond our ability to take in more animals responsibly.

Every donation has helped us keep our doors open, and we are deeply grateful. But many of our emergency campaigns have raised only a fraction of the actual veterinary costs. The remaining expenses have continued to accumulate, and we have now reached a stopping point.

Without immediate funding, our intake must remain closed—and more animals will be left behind.

Howie went in for a routine neuter and ended up in the emergency room with internal bleeding. An ultrasound also revealed pancreatitis, and he will need a more extensive follow-up ultrasound next month. These are the unexpected veterinary emergencies that have depleted our resources—and previous fundraisers have covered only a fraction of the cost of our medical campaigns on give butter.

Our urgent goal is to raise $10,000 so we can care for the animals already depending on who need routine vet care and who have ongoing specialized medical needs. We have set up a specific link so you can see our progress.

Yesterday, Thea was seen by Cardiac Care for Pets (CVCA) to diagnose her severe 6/6 heart murmur. Her $953 echocardiogram revealed a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA)—a blood vessel that should have closed shortly after birth but remained open. Surgery could save her life and has a high success rate, but the procedure is beyond what New Hope can financially manage. Thea urgently needs treatment within the next 30 days, and we are desperately searching for a veterinary surgeon willing to take on her case pro bono or at a significantly reduced cost.
