As you may have seen all over the media, Southern Haiti is in a state of emergency!

For more than 16 years, located in Les Cayes, Southern Haiti, capracare has stood side-by-side with families providing access to healthcare + Prevention Education + Youth Education + Mental Health & Training Community Health Workers/First Responders.

Our ongoing work is to strengthen lives and communities we serve. When disaster strikes, we don’t just respond, we stay, offering courage + strength + ongoing healing + long-term stability & support.

CAPRACARE'S HURRICANE MELISSA: EMERGENCY RELIEF ACTION PLAN

Our Emergency Relief calls for urgent support from our donors and friends to help us in delivering essential food, medical and sanitary supplies to the communities affected by the current social and political crisis in Haiti. Many families, women and children are scrambling for food and supplies- particular those who are elderly, infants and pregnant women. In addition to food distribution, our relief efforts will also support mental health and trauma counseling to ensure holistic support for the community. ALL food and supplies are being purchased locally in Haiti and delivered by our capracare outreach workers and responders on the grounds.

We are asking our allies, advocates, and friends to please stand with us by uniting our efforts to provide immediate assistance and mobilizing our resources to save as many lives as possible.
