It’s the 4th quarter. Can you hear the basketball bouncing against the hardwood floor? Can youfeel the rush of adrenaline as “J” heads towards the basket for a layup? Can you hear the crowd erupt in cheers as he sinks the basket to give his team the lead?

“J” is experiencing all of those things and so much more…

and all because of YOU.

Let me tell you a little about “J”. His family has hit a rough patch. Mom and Dad both recently lost their jobs and J’s family is unhoused. Honestly, they can’t really even be sure where their next meal is coming from on a daily basis. “J” and his siblings pretty much do their own thing. They attend school and try to act like everything is fine, but at home Mom and Dad really aren’t involved very much in their lives at all and they are hurting.

But, “J” loves Basketball. He joined up with a local travel league several seasons ago, when life at home was different, and realized that the Basketball Court was his favorite place in the entire world. His teammates and coaches have become his family. “J” never misses a practice or game - he walks to the gym and home - no matter what the weather - and gives 110% while he is there - whether or not he’s had a meal that day.

Since his family has fallen on hard times they can’t afford to keep “J” in his basketball program. They realize this program is the source of stability in “J’s” life but they just can’t do it. They are out of options and running out of hope and “J” playing basketball is not a priority for them.

And that’s where you step in. Your donations to The EMpact One Foundation allow “J” the opportunity to get back on the court and puts the ball right back in his hands. Your donations give him back his basketball family and stability. Your donations give him access to learning teamwork, discipline, and leadership that will serve him the rest of his life. But, most of all, your donations show him that there is hope, and that someone cares, even in his darkest times. Your donations are changing lives like “J’s” every single day.

Your voice is the one “J” hears cheering from the stands. “J” has access to these amazing opportunities because of your generosity. You are changing “J’s” life.

In 2024 alone your donations have not just provided an opportunity for “J” but for so many others like him. This year alone your donations have supported 27 young people in activities like cheer, gymnastics, basketball, tumbling, swimming, and soccer. Your donations have met needs across our community and given hope to families in situations where they felt hopeless.
