The Mission of The Emilia Quinn Foundation

The Emilia Quinn Foundation remains dedicated to a critical but often overlooked need: supporting mothers walking through the tragedy of stillbirth and infant loss. Our direct focus is to provide direct financial assistance to families when paid maternity leave is no longer available, ensuring that the burden of financial stress does not compound the weight of grief.

The Event Experience

November 27, 2026 would be Emilia's first birthday. She should be getting ready to take her first steps, so this November, we’re taking ours for her.

Footsteps Forward is a virtual walk and fundraising challenge benefiting The Emilia Quinn Foundation. Throughout November, participants are invited to walk 50 miles from wherever they are and create an optional personal fundraising page with a suggested goal of $175.

We chose $175 in recognition of the approximately 1 in 175 pregnancies that ends in stillbirth in the United States. There is no fundraising minimum, and joining the challenge is completely free.

Funds raised through Footsteps Forward will help The Emilia Quinn Foundation provide financial assistance to mothers and families after stillbirth or infant loss—giving them room to recover, grieve, and honor their babies without the immediate pressure of lost income and unexpected expenses.

Our collective goal is to bring together 100 walkers and raise $17,500 in honor of Emilia’s first birthday.

Emilia may not be here to take her first steps, but because of her, we will keep taking footsteps forward.
