At Tri-State Transportation Campaign, we’re working to transform transportation for everyone, especially those in underserved communities. This Giving Tuesday, your donation supports our efforts to build a more equitable, sustainable, and accessible transportation system. Here's how we plan to make that happen:

1. Securing Funding for Mass Transit
We advocate for increased investment in public transportation to ensure it remains affordable, reliable, and accessible for all communities, especially those who rely on it the most.

2. Decarbonizing Transportation
We push for policies that reduce emissions, promote clean vehicles, and provide sustainable alternatives to car dependence. This will help create healthier environments and combat climate change.

3. Opposing Harmful Highway Expansions
We stand with communities to fight against projects that perpetuate pollution, displace communities, and reinforce transportation inequities. By opposing highway expansions, we help protect communities from harm to their health.

Our Active Transportation Manager above opposes the Newark Bay-Hudson County Turnpike Extension (I-78), which would direct over $10 billion toward continuing harm to environmental justice communities.

Tri-State Transportation Campaign (TSTC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable transportation, equitable planning policies and practices, and strong communities in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

TSTC was launched in 1993 by 13 collaborative groups within the Tri-State region to work at the intersection of transportation, urban planning, and the environment. Since our establishment, TSTC has continued to raise awareness that mobility options can deeply impact public health, economic access, quality of life, and environmental health. Worsening car dependence in the metropolitan area continues to create social inequities that must be addressed.

Over ten million New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut residents rely on public transit as part of their daily commutes. Mobility is essential, and everyone deserves the ability to access public transportation. We fight every day to make sure that turnstiles and bus stops are gateways to opportunities for all. Our work focuses on communities that face disparities in transportation equity.
