El Dorado County Fire Chief Tim Cordero's Story

My personal goal is $5,000 but with matching funds my campaign goal is $10,000.
Join the Mission: Rescue Chief Cordero and Support Youth Making a Difference
I was dispatched to the shoreline after reports of strange activity near the water. What started as a routine check quickly turned into something unexpected. Following a trail of clues, I geared up and prepared to rappel into the depths to investigate further.
With my rope secured, I descended toward the bottom of the ocean, searching for someone rumored to be in need of rescue. As I reached the ocean floor, I spotted treasure, but also a mermaid. Before I could react, she began casting her spell and I found myself caught in it, suspended and unable to move!
The mermaid mistook my mission. She thought I was after her treasure, not trying to help. Now I’m suspended at the bottom of the ocean, caught in her spell and unable to break free.
But there is still hope!
Every donation helps pull me back to the surface and supports Hands4Hope’s work empowering youth through programs at Herbert Green Middle, Markham Middle, Union Mine High, and El Dorado High Schools, as well as the Placerville Hands4Hope Youth Center.
Join the rescue. Break the spell. And help local youth become real-life changemakers!
