My personal goal is $3,000 but with matching funds my campaign goal is $6,000.

Once upon a time, I wandered too close to the rocky shore, where the waves whispered secrets of the sea. A mischievous mermaid appeared, shimmering in the sunlight, and with a sly smile she stole my voice, tucking it away in a seashell deep beneath the water. Without my voice, I could not call for help—only gesture toward the ocean where it was hidden.

Now, only with the kindness and generosity of others can I be rescued. Every gift helps loosen the shell’s hold, bringing my voice closer to freedom and every gift will directly help Hands4Hope–Youth Making A Difference, whose mission is to inspire and empower youth in leadership and service. These incredible young people are given a platform to raise their voices about issues affecting our community—and the opportunity to take action in their own way.  

I must break the mermaid’s spell quickly, so I can return to my important work serving El Dorado County as your Recorder-Clerk. Will you help me find my voice and return to shore?
