Ed is Everesting for Community Bikes!

On June 13, 2026*, CCB Board Member Ed Kwasnick, is taking on an Everesting challenge for Community Bikes.

That means he’ll ride the same climb on the Blue Ridge Parkway again and again in a single day until he reaches 29,029 feet of elevation gain, the elevation of Mount Everest. If he completes his goal, that will mean 38 laps of his chosen climb, totaling 209 miles!

He's doing it to raise money for Community Bikes, helping more people in our community access reliable transportation, affordable repairs, safety gear, and the joy of riding.

We’ll share ride-day updates throughout the day, including climb progress, Base Camp photos, donor shoutouts, and milestone challenge updates.

Make a donation.
Every gift helps Community Bikes provide free and low-cost bicycles, repairs, safety gear, and bike education for children, teens, and adults who rely on bikes to get to school, work, appointments, and more.

To make a donation toward Ed's challenge, click on "Help Ed Climb," then choose "I'd just like to donate."

Join us to cheer, or join Ed for a lap.
