Through the love and care of Spring Mountain Wellness, Wellspring Mountain has become one of those places — a living refuge in the heart of Appalachia where people come to rest, recover, and remember how to breathe again.

This year, the refuge has quietly opened its doors to a dozen people who had nowhere else safe to go. It’s hosted a burnout recovery retreat and offered space for healing, grief, and rebuilding.

It’s not a business. It’s a community-built sanctuary, kept alive only through collective care.

Right now, we need to raise $10,000 by December 15 to make the winter mortgage and keep everyone sheltered through the cold months. Without that, we risk losing the space that so many have come to rely on.
