Thank you for supporting older adults like our friend Madelyn. We first met her at our CitySites program this summer at Anna Bissonnette House in the South End. From the start, her energy and excitement stood out. She was eager to join in, and since then, she’s been the first to arrive every week.

Madelyn told me that because of your support, her “artistic life is really blooming again.” She shared that art activities and conversations about creativity have “given me my world back and my identity back,” and “given me a renewal of life.” 

That simple, heartfelt statement shows what’s most important. For older adults like Madelyn, our programs aren’t just something extra—they’re lifelines. They bring joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging where there used to be loneliness.

But right now, important funding for older adults are being cut. And too often, programs that foster social connections are the first to be eliminated. That’s why I’m asking you to stand shoulder to shoulder with over a thousand older Bostonians in our program and help keep this work going by making a gift to our fall fundraising appeal today.
