"We are a newly married couple with two kids (6 and 13) still living at home. We love the outdoors, but a lack of funding has made camping impossible. With this grant, we would be able to purchase the proper equipment to safely enjoy the outdoors together as a family. We could buy a family tent, cooking utensils, sleeping bags, lighting—all of the things we need to start spending weekends with our kids to unplug and explore. 

My hope is that camping will aid in our children becoming closer in a way that normal daily life does not allow for. I believe there is no better bonding experience than being surrounded by the outdoors and teaching your children valuable life skills. It will offer them new experiences to peak curiosity and prompt discussions about the world. Our first stop would be Hocking Hills State Park!"
